In my collage paintings I use iconic imagery from magazines, books, newspapers and the like and combine them with paint to invoke meaning and tell stories. Each story is individual to the viewer, which means that in theory a single collage will tell millions of stories. They are sometimes presented on found materials, eg. old prints, packing cases etc. After finding suitable imagery to use in my works I allow each piece to evolve in a fairly natural way, regularly taking a step back and reviewing my work so the collage itself can dictate when it is finished.
