| From
October 30th to December 23rd, 1998 we projected the collage on the wall
of the Bank of the West building in North Beach, San Francisco, each night
between the hours of 8:00pm and 10:00pm (although we did take a few days
off every now and then). We met thousands of people and answered all kinds
of questions about the collage artists, the internet, the artwork, the projector,
San Francisco, and much much more. We talked with tourists, locals, artists,
businessmen and women, street people, convention goers, bachelorettes, restaurateurs,
and every kind of person that you might imagine out at night in San Francisco.
Some people walked by without noticing, some stared at the projector, many
thought that we were filming a movie, a small percentage stayed for hours
asking questions and watching the art work. Some of these people came back
night after night to chat about the project and to look at the latest submissions.
